January 13th Friday - Saturday night 05:30We arrived to the Eisenbreuer's, a bar with its own inner court (shared with a few small boutiques). Surprisingly the bar was open at this early morning, it was obvious that we were expected around. The owner, Oswald, welcomed us and made a few inquiries about the transactions on the road. We discussed along with a beer or two, had some snack and so on. Oswald brought someone to the table we were sitting at, and tested us with some very odd looking pendant, which started shining faintly when it was dangled in front of Marc or me. Slowly the big scene started clearing in our minds... 06:30 Seth and Herman took us upstairs, we were supposed to be just like them: a Garou born into Homid form. To prove that Seth took us through a mirror to another world named Umbra. Actually, I was not even surprised when I found myself at Crinos and Lupus forms after 15 minutes. I felt like new born child ... I was a new born child, but that cleared to me not until a bit later. I had a lot to learn ... to became a true Garou. We got back out, stripped almost naked, obviously we should've taken our clothes off before changing forms. Luckily there was some spare jeans and shirts for us. 07:00 We came back downstairs, confused and not much smarter than before. We chatted a bit more and Oswald told us about Eisenbreuer's, and everything. Seth and Herman retired upstairs and shortly after that Oswald thought he heard something outside, but decided it was nothing. Since we were quite restless, Oswald pointed us the keys of the out door, and told us to check that noice if we wanted, and left us alone. 07:30 Well, there's was nothing bad at checking the fresh air. We were exited, and some fresh cold winter air would surely make us cool down. I took the keys and we went cautiously outdoors. Maybe that noice was really something. We listened for a while, and yes, there was some sound coming from the underpass leading to the inner court. After whispering what to do, we changed to the Glabro form. We crept very slowly forward, and at the front of the underpass I stumbled a bit. Silence. 07:35 *CLICK* 07:35 That sound was distant, but it shouted like an alarm into my ears: there was no doubt it was 9mm automatic, I had a weapon like that at home. Marc had come to the obvious conclusion also, as we silently conversed and decided our next action. I don't know whether the idea came from me or Marc, but we went quickly to the nearest car, and started arguing about who forgot the keys inside. Marc pretended to go back in to fetch the keys. There was two black suited guys who took a very long look at us, but obviously thought us harmless so far. I had shivers, those two guys do really look similar to those kidnappers who were dealed with only few hours earlier. 07:40 The other suit threw a big envelope to the front of the Eisenbreuer's door, and they exited the courtyard, or so we thought. We talked over the matter, and decided to get something more efficient than our bare hand from inside the bar, but couldn't find anything worth taking. So we got back out and examined the envelope: it was brown, A4 sized, and about 4 cm thick, and addressed plainly to 'Eisenbreuer'. And again we heard some noice from the underpass. I decided that we need action, now or never, and headed straight to the underpass while digging my cigarettes forth from my pockets. And there he was, the other suit guy was standing in the shadow beside the pass. I offered him a cigarette, and he accepted it. When he asked who we really are, and what we were doing with that envelope. It was obvious that the package was not meant for us. I couldn't make sense, and stammered with my explanations. Our cover was exposed. The suit guy took his right hand from his pocket, and I saw immediately we are in trouble. 07:45 I quickly plunged into the feet of the bad guy, and tackled him. I got some damage from his 9mm automatic - I barely felt it. I quickly assumed Crinos form and tried to move forward. It took a while and they guy managed to try shoot my head off for the second time. He missed since I clawed his throat out with two strokes. While I was taking care of my opponent, Marc had spotted the other suit guy from the outer end of the underpass, with dual 9mm automatic. This should no happen in real life. This was like a John Woo movie, geez. Marc strided really fast past me and obviously, was doing his part of the job. The second guy fired several shots, and I bet several of them hit the target. But Marc wasn't an easy one to fight with, he managed to cripple his opponet with speed and brute force. Battle was over in a less than a minute. 07:46 It was amazing how fast the wounds healed when staying in Crinos form. Lucky for us, if it was the other way we would be both dead now. We changed back to Homids. And, where was our clothes again ... something must be done for that ... We dragged those two dead ones inside Eisenbreuer's, cleaned the mess, and took jackets from the bodies to cover us a bit. We waked Oswald from upstairs, gave him the envelope and told about our little transaction. I had a one beer to calm my mind down, and headed straight to the bed. 11:30 ..to be continued.. |
