I went downtown after fully recovering from the new year's eve parties, and straight to the police station to get my new passport for the 2 week winter holiday I will have between 5th-21st Janyary. The idea of a journey to the central europe had been itchin in the back of my head for months, and since I received some salary bonus from my employer - Nokia Communications - there was no other options but go for it. After paying the tickets for the plane and hotel at the local travel bureau, I still had 12000 marks om my bank account, plenty to use for possible side trips, presents and of course for a few beers ... ;)
